No. Not in the slightest. There's a large difference between the way Derek Bailey plays (entirely 'out' but within the bounds of established musical practice) and the way Keith Rowe plays (No established musical practice, so far as I know). With Philip Jeck he's not even playing an instrument that has a standardised form; it's not really an instrument (a mass of Dansettes); he's dealing entirely with peripheral, non-harmonic/ melodic, not quite 'enharmonic ' (in the sense the polystylists/ spectralists use it) sounds and yet not creating 'noise' in the sense of the genre.
