I'm betting the amphet of the 60's VU/Warhol scene is a slightly different chemical than the bathtub meth that circulates today. I've tried speed a couple times and its fucking fun. You just feel like you're at the top of your game and man nothing can stop you! But I've never crashed so hard, an agonizing hangover (and I didn't even use that much), so bad that I've never done it again. I took my hs psychology final on speed - finished in like 10 minutes and got an A! Addiction is always bad. <sarcasm on> I need to go to the gas station now and buy a soda. <sarcasm off>
If the drugs were legal and pure I suspect there would be fewer health problems. But dumb people doing drugs are always going to lead to stupid results.
If someone is bored can they find the difference between amphetamine and methampetamine? The Nazi Stormtroopers were all on speed during their blitzes...its a total dominator drug.
