This formula expresses the fact that differentiation and integration are inverse operations of each other. Therefore, if d=dinghy, then it is easy to see that for finite sets d (dinghy) equals the cardinality of the power set equals f (watering can) equals x (channel).
So if this calculation is applied, then d/dx, together with that long line with the bends at either end and an x and a supporting it, added to the f (watering can) (s) (s) d (dinghy) s (s) = f (watering can) (x) (channel).
