1) why does EVERY pop SONG from the 60's-70's-80's fade out? I understand the point of things fading out within songs, but what's the real reason that every song fades out, usually at the chorus? And, live, has any band ever used a fade out on a song instead of coming up with an ending, because that'd be hilarious... (have the guy in charge of sound turn them down during the chorus)


not sure if someone answered this already, but...

fading out is meant to make the listener feel like they're missing out on something, like the end of a song is a mystery. it supposedly makes them want to hear more. shit reason if you ask me.
