i have no problem being content-- i mean why not enjoy that which you have. i just had an awesome salad for lunch-- pineapple, strawberries, avocado, romaine lettuce, with a poppy seed dressing-- al organic stuff and delicous. i'd have to be pretty stupid to complain. ha hah.
but from contentment to inertia i think there is a huge leap. you can be content without "settling", it removes a lot of unease without killing your ambitons. i'm for contentment, to a point. never enjoying the present for the sake of some distant future is the cruelest torture imposed to us by western civilization.
and in the words of william blake "a grateful receiver bears a plentiful harvest".
