Half of our schools seem to be calling themselves 'specialist sports colleges' for some reason. Or 'acadamies'. I don't understand it at all, but I think it means that the government give them more money.
There was some rivalry between schools, but not really very much. Unfortunately the school I went to was very keen on rugby, which manages the rare achievement of being a very very boring sport. We did have a cricket team which I joined, but I left in protest.
I tried not to be involved much at school. I was bored, really, and I felt like I was surrounded by idiots. Looking back, I realise that I was indeed surrounded by idiots.
By 'school', I mean up until the age of sixteen. After that it's college or university.
