yeah, in like 6th grade, me and a friend would kind of try and find the heaviest, fastest, most extreme band we could; i got him into slayer, he got me into sepultura and so on. one day he brought the from enslavement to obliteration tape and i couldn't believe the drums, i heard it that one time for like 10 minutes and i couldn't get the sound out of my head. it blew my mind.
then i heard cathedral having in mind that it was the dude from napalm but now he was singing instead of growling and that they played slow and kinda like black sabbath, but i still got disappointed.
actually, the one i heard was the ethereal mirror and that's also the one that, years later, got me into them. the last one is pretty good, the 25-ish minutes long song is fantastic.
