By the way, the authorship of Shakespeare's plays is more complicated than the Bacon conspiracy theorists would have you believe. It's almost certain that not all of the plays attributed to Shakespeare were the work of him alone. The early ones were probably written by him alongside a more established playwright(s), as an 'apprenticeship'; the later plays possibly written by an apprentice of his, either under his guidance or with him.

There are so many reasons why the conspiracy theories are baloney, eg, throughout his plays Shakespeare used a lot of Midlands dialect which wouldn't have been known outside of the area (he would have spoken with a Birmingham(ish) accent). But I would suggest it's not important, just leave the conspiracy theories alone and read the plays. It'll be much more rewarding I promise.
