the smiths were great. with the smiths, you have an awesome rhythm section, one of the best guitar players EVER (who still probably hasn't been matched in the arpeggios department).. i mean, this dude was nuts.. have you heard this charming man (the self-titled version)? that was made of 11 different guitar tracks, some of them in different tunings and with different effects, and one separate guitar track that was johnny marr dropping knives on the strings!

morrissey was not a very good singer, but anyone that has tried to rip him off sounds embarassing, so therefor he must actually be a brilliant singer.. he sang all these embarassing lyrics but made them convincing.. truely a good dude. love him. the smiths rocked. louder than bombs is a great album. just great.
