Well you see, there's the thing. The difference between a movie and a novel is that movies always have happy endings, and novels always end in death. That's the problem with Stranger Than Fiction: the novel "Death & Taxes" should have ended with the hero dying. In stead, Will Ferrell lives, and the movie is a movie (if that makes any sense).
