Part of skating is that whole "suck it up, whatever happens you walk it off" mentality, and if they (the producers and advertisers and companies that run these things) claim these are world caliber athletes they would have properly restrained his spine and neck just to be safe and taken him in an ambulance.

I would agree, I would've carried him away on a stretcher . Who know what sorta injuries that guy aquired.
