Excellent post, atsonic. This has long been one of my faves..top ten, maybe even top 5. I was in a Swervedriver tribute band for a couple parties. We basically did most of RAISE, note for note. It was awesome.

And I disagree, Raise is better than Mezcal. Better songs mainly. Production is a bit muddy, but less slick than Mezcal, with more warmth and deep driving bass.

Just saw Adam Franklin at Maxwells last night. A bit dull, i have to say. The new album, Bolts of Melody, isn't bad tho.. i wish i knew it before the show since i bought it there.
