I kind of agree with this, in part. Especially for certain bands. Quiet bands. But then I like a natter with my pint. Not all live shows are a social thing, some of them are an art [coughs] thing. But I like music for the social thing, which is why I go to more jazz shows than anything else, because you can have a pint, a natter, dip in and out of the music and don't get anyone frowning.

Edit: Obviously, by jazz shows I mean people playing jazz in the corner of a pub rather than Ronnie 'I have no atmosphere' Scotts.
