here's another true story. my other friend (the one married to an ice queen) is covered in WWII german tattoos. so far, he's stayed away from the SS lightning bolts and swastikas, but he has the unit badge for the 12th SS - Hitler Youth Brigade (along with other things). he's NOT an Nazi, and one of the least racist people I know, yet....it's odd. it's one of those things that if you didn't know him, you would assume he joined a gang in prison.

Well, you can't deny the stylish nature of the SS design aesthetic. Plus there's all the occult whatnot in there...
I know a guy with a museum quality collection of authentic German WWII militaria; he enjoys wearing an SS jacket around, and occasionally breaks out the officer hat to go with it. He's a Native American.
Confuses people.
