Usually for me it's either:
them: "What music do you listen to?"
me: "Stuff from every genre. But I'm very picky about it"
them: "Oh, like what?"
me:
*name a few current favorites from different genres*
them: I don't know any of those
[end of conversation]
or if I don't like the person:
them: "What music do you listen to?"
me: "Merzbow performing dubstep renditions of 1-Speed Bike's last performance."
them: "huh?"
