One day at school when I was wearing that shirt, my (incredibly hammy) math teacher was like "ehhhh, Sonic Youth!" and something about whether I had heard them? I said I had about 10 of their albums, and I asked if he liked them, to which he replied "ehhhh, I know a few songs, like that Kool Thing, what's some of their popular ones?" and I named some other songs that I thought were popular back in the day, and he just looked kind of confused and walked out of the room.
