urf then you'd be on the right track. With still a ways to go but the right track.
The thing is, the entire concept of the smurfs was based off the real, and not so plesant biography of my great (and generationally removed, older) uncle DansDorf (nickname).
He was an alcoholic that took train tours through germany, france, belgium, and a few other places, basically just perpetually trying to find out about life and what he was supposed to do.
Peyo (the creator of the smurfs) met him on one of these trips and pretended to befriend him, but it turns out he was really just interested in observing his bizarre antics for his own creative gain.
There is more to this, but I'm not sure airing it out here would be apropriate.
So in any case, yeah, maybe I have a little smurf in me, maybe I wouldn't mind living in a smurf village for a summer and helping them out and maybe if I had been around back in the Black Forest and such in those days maybe we could have had a full length smurf feature in which everyone got together and actually helped Gargamel (Dans) get some help / rehab whatever.
besides, getting frozen by peace ain't so bad.
