it is the closest thing you will get to protools, or digital performer for so little. You have to use software you like but i was just putting forward an option that is a billion times better than audacity, and help people improve the aural quality of their recordings. in the end it really makes no difference to me what you use, but sooner or later you will want something more powerful and not have $1500 to pay for it.
