Huh. The interesting thing for me about the picture is I didn't notice the unidentified flying thing in it until I looked at it later. I've had a pretty weird ufo sighting too, but it wan't much like this. It was more like something out of Star Wars visually, and it was in the Nisqually area outside Olympia in Washington state, which isn't too far from Mt. Rainier where some of the
first ever ufos were seen in 1947.
Personally, I tend to think most of these things are experimental military craft more likely than extra-terrestrial. The stealth fighter sure must have set off innumerable ufo sightings when it was top secret, and it was in my area where they were testing it.
But then you're in Australia, so U.S. military explanations are harder to make work. And I don't think you're a former acid head like me either...
