Throwing around words like "indie hipster" and trying to justify a love of Ween in the same post? That's not going to win any arguments.
Their early tape stuff is KIND OF interesting in a Renaldo and the Loaf-kind-of-way. You know, the goofy vocal nonsense and whatnot. "The Pod" has their most tolerable music. Most of their music is just boring to me though. I can't deny their talent. That doesn't mean I want to listen to them. "Chocolate and Cheese" is one of the worst albums I've heard in my life.
For the record, more than most bands, you pretty much either love or hate Ween. I know plenty of people completely fanatical about them and I know plenty of people who just hate their guts. I'm KINDA indifferent to them -- they don't really BOTHER me, but they still suck.
