I saw Stewart Lee opening for Jim Tavare at a show in Chichester, probably somewhere around 1990. He walked on stage and opened with "I see the Queen Mother's just turned 90. She's looking good on it. But then she would, wouldn't she, living on a diet of swan and never having done a day's work in her life". Cue silence...
