As much as I love Kovalev, I just don't think he can lead a team to the Cup Finals. In 2000-2001 when he had his best career season, Mario was back, Jagr had one of his best seasons, Lang and Straka had great seasons, and they had a hot rookie goaltender in Johan Hedberg they couldn't make the finals.


The Canadiens best weapon is their powerplay. If they play a disciplined team like the Rangers or the Devils, they just won't get a lot of opportunities and they will have to rely solely on their defense and Carey Price.

If they play the Penguins, the Pens depth is going to kill them.
