Nigeria is estimated to hold upwards of 20% of the global reserves. Sudan, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Chad, Gabon and South Africa all produce marketable and even exportable quantities of oil. there is indeed oil in africa, as well as every other natural resource our modern world is dependent on.
