Oh pish posh to the haters. It's a good album. It took me a couple listens to adjust to it given that it's not the up beat, fun, eccentric record the band usually releases. It's sort of moody and somber at times, definitely the band's most mellow effort. And yet a lot of the rhythms, general quirks and musical tricks presented on the album are very "Breeders", several songs are subtly quite pretty, and after a half dozen listens its really grown on me. Outside of that spanish song i pretty much enjoy the whole thing.
Oh and I like the lyrics to "Bang On".
