For the record, I like a lot of those bands in my list, but all the bands on that list that I like have way better songs (and in many cases, I think the songs they are "known" for are some of the worst examples in their catalogues).
I actually do like some of these songs, but overexposure has ruined a lot of them.
I think it's a shame that Deep Purple are known mostly for such a boneheaded tune when Ritchie Blackmore is easily one of the best guitarists of his generation. I think it's a shame that Sabbath are known more for Iron Man than for War Pigs.
In comparison to a lot of Stones material, "Satisfaction" has become a cliche and needs a rest, no matter how good it is.
I like AC/DC all right, but prefer Bon Scott's voice.
I have come to appreciate some Zeppelin, but come on, Stairway is overplayed. There is no denying it.
I was just having a laugh. When I was a teenager I though "Everything Counts" was one of the greatest songs ever, but now it sounds
hilarious and dated to me.

I picked Boys Are Back In Town because it was such a huge hit for them here (and overplayed to the hilt), when so much other Thin Lizzy actually kicks ass for real.

Just a joke answer, really. I'd agree with some of the points you made.
