I've got about 20 quite good books from skips and such. And I've pilfered quite a few oil drums/ kegs for percussive reasons. I've got quite a lot of found percussion.

My housemate is forever bringing home really cool things. He found a bible so large that you'd think it was a breezeblock in absolutely mint condition under a bush once. It's amazing, about 150 years old and leather-bound.
