I don't think the guy was complaining at all, I think he was just trying to play down his excitement. The subtext of the article sounded something like, "omgomgomgomg I...Ahem...Yeah, so uh...Thurston Moore (hehe) like, totally humped me. I was uh...scared for my camera..."
