Moshe mentioned 'em in Jan. '07, and Dead-Air in July that year.
Funny though how when I made an in memoriam thread (as Intellivision...one of the Intellivision threads that
didn't get deleted) for drummer Sandy West in October '06 there was only one mock-reply from 'marras and one sincere reply from toxic johnny.
That's right, only
one person gave a shit enough to post a "RIP" message for Sandy West, folks.
See for yourselves:
The Runaways drummer, Sandy West, dies at 47
I have two of their bootlegs:
The Runaways
7/19/76 The Agora Cleveland sbd
12/01/78 The Palladium Hollywood
Glad to see some other people rocking out to them though.
Now, if you please, go and download an amazing rock 'n' roll extravaganza from NYC '82 at the 320 Club of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The boot is "Rebel Rebel" and there are a number of excellent cover tunes performed. I cannot be bothered to put it up as lossless. Here it is in track-by-track mp3 from licorice pizza blog.

Do not delay.
Prove to me that you are not a hopeless lamer. Do it
now and
rock out, preferably at loud volume, shortly thereafter.
They do three songs The Runaways used to do, "Wait For Me," "Black Leather," and the epic "I Love Playin' with Fire," and they execute them with a vengeance. The audience sings along in glorious parts and the version on this one of the fantastic Gary Glitter tune "Do You Wanna Touch Me? (Oh Yeah)" is the best I've
ever heard. Love that barre pattern! There's a really good version of Tommy James & The Shondells' immortal classic "Crimson & Clover" too. Love that song! Go ahead and listen to a track or two with your computer speakers, but it's massive on a real system.
