I grew up with Star Wars and it was a full-on obsession 'till I was 13 or so.
It is for the most part, a fairytale for kids - pure and simple. But in terms of design, the sets, the costumes and especially the sound effects and orchestral score - I still respect the fuck out of it.
It's just that Geroge Lucus should never write for or direct actual human beigns....
