Lee and especially Steve are probably the most solid as people. While I do find it a bit wearisome at times, I do admire the role Thurston has played in recent years promoting smaller bands. Kim has always irritated me for some reason, although I do think that she's a very underrated bass player.

In terms of sheer technical ability, I dunno. Probably Steve. I was listening to the Dim Stars album the other night and his playing really stood out.

I met Thurston on a handfull of occasions in the late 80s early 90s and he really was extremely nice, even when I was mispronouncing Die Kreuzen over and over again! I think it's difficult to get a gauge on any of them now though. They've reached that iconic stage where I'm sure that they themselves don't really know who or what they are anymore.
