Just got home - I can't say that I totally agree about the sound. I thought it was pretty punchy, and I was quite pleased with the setlist too. Burning Spear was a fantastic start, and there was a pretty excellent spread of stuff, I thought (albeit, okay, with a fair bit of DDN, but, fuck it, they're good songs). For me personally, at the end of a day with pretty shitty travel problems and a resulting failure to get to St Nazaire in time to visit Sensational Fix, that hour and a bit saved what could easily have been a total fucking waste of a weekend.

I briefly spoke to Steve at St Nazaire railway station earlier today while we were both waiting for the same train, and he thought it was a pretty good crowd. Nothing much else to report from the chat really, except that songs for the next album are coming together nicely.

One of the non-music highlights for me was seeing Leah Singer at the side of the stage with her and Lee's kids, and they all seemed to be having a great time.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you, Torn Curtain. I looked around to see if I couls see you before the crowd got too big, but no luck. C'est la vie, as they say in your part of the world
