rock and roll is not about innovation. it is about emotion and the rush you get when a song just rises and rises and screams out for you to blow your fucking brain right through a giant marshall stack
that being said, innovation is great too, but it cannotmake up for a lack of true feeling, of true rock
look at animal collective (ha ha! easy rip!)
