mob comedies worth seeing
Midnight Run (not just a comedy, but Dennis Farina is so great in it as is of course De Niro & it's the best role Charles Grodin ever played...it's one of my favorite movies & the only drawback is some of the music)

Mad Dog and Glory (Murray/De Niro/Thurman)
The Freshman (Brando parodying his role as Don Vito=priceless cinema)
Some Like It Hot (the AFI ranks this as the #1 comedy of all-time...now that's a laugh)

note that Miller's Crossing is officially deemed a crime thriller & is a very black comedy at best; also noteworthy is that Crimes & Misdemeanors, which isn't wholly a comedy, is based around a mafia/gangland hit; if either one of these movies were included they would top the list.
