you see, he was a good president while he was in power, did his job; and that was the problem, it was at the very end of his rule that he stole a shitload of money, so much that the economy colapsed (not helped by the u.s. still reeling from the iraq war and the ezln rising).
strictly speaking, while he was in charge, the country was doing good; but he fucked the country up big time right after stepping out of office.
