Well, I buy CDs, and the very occasional download, of musical artists I like. Since I enjoy thier work, I'd like to support them via the price of the item. I have never bought a pirated CD or illegitimately downloaded music. I will admit to downloading porn from newsgroups.
So, I buy DVDs of directors and actresses I like. It monetarily says that I support them even if the pay structure is even less talent based than the music industry.
Eon McKai is doing some great work, both as a director and as the head of Vivid Alt. He's bringing art to porn and I support that. Ironically, he said he doesn't buy porn either.
