Dead Alive is funny for about the first 15 minutes. The scene at the dinner table was sickly humorous. Unfortunately the film became more and more dull as it went along. I didn't think it was possible to become so uninterested with something that was trying so hard to be completely off-the-wall. In short, Dead Alive
is to be a wacky comedy. It's just not particularly funny (or good).
