Woman Killed by Her Husband's Coffin

Talk about the dead reaching out to touch the living. Or kill them. A 67-year-old woman in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil died one of the most bizarre deaths possible.

The Associated Press reports that Marciana Silva Barcelos was sitting in the front passenger seat of the hearse that was carrying her husband's body inside a coffin to the cemetery for burial. The hearse was involved in a traffic accident that hurled the coffin from the back of the hearse into the front where it struck Barcelos in the back of the neck. She died instantly.

Her husband, Josi Silveira Coimbra, died November 9 at age 76 of a heart attack while dancing at a party. The driver of the hearse and Barcelos' son suffered minor injuries.
