London Zoo is a fucking awesome record. If you've been keeping up with Dancehall (where are the new riddims these days?) it's a bllinder. If you've been keeping up with (snore) Dubstep [/bassline], it's a blinder. The Warrior Queen vocal is the single but I haven't heard anything so Hackney as Skeng for... well, since early Ratchet. For me, it's such a British record. It's informed by all these other things, but there's no way it'd be made by anything other than a British head. Same as Burial. 'Cos that's what British dance music (in its broadest sense) is about. Being a head. If you're a head, do it. That's why I'm all about Sy and Hixxy. Heads. Y'know?
