There will never be a "the next Nirvana", because the musical climate is completely different nowadays. There really isn't even a such thing as the underground, what with people able to hear any fucking record ever made within 5 seconds of searching on soulseek or even last.fm or even fucking youtube. As for "crossover appeal", their music isn't that uncommercial to begin with, so what exactly are they crossing over to? And they've already been featured on MTV2 as part of some hilarious "lo-fi movement" feature a good year and a half ago, so in a way haven't they already "crossed over"?
