In acting it is a truism that doing comedy is harder than doing drama. There are many reasons for this, one being that in comedy, either the joke/gag/pratfall/line works or it doesn't. It is kind of clear-cut ad obvious when it does not work.
Music is tough to do funny. There are many acts that have a funny side to them, and yet others who are plainly trying to crack you up. making a song funny and good musically is even harder. when I was a little kid I would crack up every christmas because the would play "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" but the song itself, the music the tune is sung to, is generic crap.

List me some of your favorite funny songs, or acts or records.

I will start with Dead Milkmen, completely sophomoric, but taking it to unheard of new heights. I find their midle albums to be cock full of hilaritry, shit I still laugh hard to , to this day.

My two favorites are Beelzebubba and Bucky Fellini. There are so many songs that had me rolling on the fucking floor on these albums, and not only that, but the music itself was snot-nose cow-punk of the highest order. I could just as easily rock out as crack up.

plus they covered daniel johnston and did a great job with it.

and they sounded like they hated everyone.

what you guys got?
