This is the thing: Pussycat Dolls had one and a half alright-ish-at-a-push songs; Spice Girls were always shit. Girls Aloud are yet to do a shit single. Seriously though, if anyone has shat upon the accepted conventions of verse/chorus/verse it's Girls Aloud['s writing team, Xenomania].
