im positive most doctors, attorneys, teachers havent the first clue how to rebuild a transmission. most probally lack in knowledge on the appropriate time of the year to plant, say, okra. all of this stuff, like teaching or defending someone in court, or engaging in a corneal transplant requires knowledge...aquired/learned/studied knowledge.

yeah ya got insane-backwoods-seemingly-imbred sorts that dont seem to know the first thing about anything, but even they have a sense of culture that is very unique to them.

its a two way street though. "educated folks" often come off as snobby to "hicks", hicks often come off as "ignorent" to "educated folks". i think both mentalites are equally snobbish as well as ignorent. people never like things they dont understand.

i consider myself lucky. ive been exposed, a great deal, to both of these sorts of individuals...both have a lot to offer the world, as well as their local communities...and both do. even if it is just "redneck humour" to most.

whatever.

the worlds awesome. people are awesome. as soon as people realize every culture/background/city/country/town/swamp/ has something to offer the world will be a better place.

just because something isnt what one is used to, doesnt mean its stupid. just like "being educated" doesnt always means someone is smart. i know college graduates i feel as if are, well, stupid. likewise...i know people that dropped out of HS i consider to be highly intelligent. again, it goes both ways though...i aslo know college graduates that are highly intelligent (most were even before they went to college) and i know high school drop outs that are completely stupid.

my mentality has changed greatly over the last year/two years. sometimes im still i dick, but not nearly as often. i still think, though, even dickheads have something to offer. smart and stupid assholes alike...they can sometimes keep stale situations really interesting.

being nice has bennifitted be greatly though...in more recent time. i choose to be nice now, as much as i can...when i can remember to. sometimes i do fuck up. oh well....

you sure like to rant.
