Tyra Banks is so full of shit. Demonizing a girl for making a career choice which she feels comfortable in, is profitable in and has the ability to exit at any given moment, should she feel the need. She ignores Sasha's comments about how she will never portray herself as a pre-pubescent or anything similar and only going as close as dressing in a young style, yet Tyra keeps hammering in how young she looks to attempt to overshadow any points Sasha brings up. I also found the questioning process to be interesting. "Tell us about the 50 year old man. Tell us about what a gang bang is. What's the most amount of men you've had in a gang bang?" There was no question about what kind of lifestyle she is living right now, about what her other interests are and so on. Tyra is treating Sasha as if though she only exists as a porn star and not a person. Within the context of a scene, that's perfect but when interviewing a person to gain knowledge about the profession you are no longer interviewing the character from a scene. Tyra is, effectively, dehumanizing Sasha for the audience to make her seem soulless, heartless and devoid of anything which can contain substance.
It's not like Tyra hasn't been selling her body for years as a model. No, I'm not saying that she's selling her body in the same way as a porn star but it doesn't change that both professions are based around selling fantasy to others. Whether it's the fantasy that one might be able to bang an attractive girl or the fantasy of looking as good in INSERT PRODUCT HERE as the girl in the ad.
