You guys are crazy.
Wah pedals can be used in a whole lot of ways. Mick Ronson had his on all the time as a tone controlling device, and barely ever went into "wah solo" mode. I think Loop used wah very well too. It's like an e-bow; lots of people only know how to do one thing with it, but there are a lot of possibilities there to explore if you take the time to develop some finesse and technique with the thing.

I don't use mine all that often, but I'm glad it's in the chain.
