we do make the best in the world down here, particularly if you like a bold wine, the french and the spanish wines are very delicate, i prefer my wines to have balls. the aussie tempranillos and zinfandels are far bigger than the spanish ones however in this case i prefer the spanish varieties. the aussie temps and zinfandels are great wines but there isn't any need for those particular varieties to be as bold as say a shiraz or a syrah. i don't mind the odd california wine but most i have tasted have been a bit so so, and i generally spend around 30-40 dollars per bottle.

my preference at the moment would be a gsm, a kind of good everyday wine and matches a lot of foods.
