I had a Irvine Welsh thread a couple weeks back, or it became one when I posted about Ewan Mcgregor saying he wasn't too keen on the idea of reprising his role as Renton for a "Porno" movie. Anyways I'm heading towards the end of "Bedroom Secrets...." Its odd because its his most straight up prose fiction ever and oddly its not as good as some of the other books I've read of his. I for one really enjoyed "Porno" its been a hell of a long time since I read "Trainspotting" which was like reading a goddamn second language when I read it. Hated that he wrote the Scottish dialect not to mention constantly switching narrators. Now having read a number of his other novels I've grown used to it and its not as challenging for me. And I'm able to just enjoy the stories now. Outside of Trainspotting/Porno I really enjoyed "The Marabou Storke Nightmares". Haven't read his short stories. Isn't "Glue" short stories as well? Or is it a novel?
