That's true sometimes, but there's also the self-hatred of being too middle class, abusive-voyeur posh sorts, heavily patriarchal/ matriarchal families, other things. What I'm saying is that there's a spectrum of influences and playing the 'I was abused as a child' card is too simplistic and doesn't explain the complexity of adult sexual/ emotional personalities.
