Why make that comparison, when the two acts sound nothing alike? Peaches is goofy fun, but I would never have drawn a connection between the two. It's like comparing Goldfrapp to Eminem or something.

Goldfrapp is simply the surname of the band's singer... I don't know what (if anything) it means beyond that.
