capital letter Dance (the art form, like mosaics, fresco painting, et c.) holds no cultural relevance anymore. It does not affect the world/public consciousness the same way arts such as music, photography, film, literature Architecture etc currently do.
of course it is just a rise and fall sine wave, but currently, Dance (the art) is nearly dead as far as cultural relevancy goes.
