Not the most ridiculous EXCUSE.
But the most ridiculous reason you decided to call in to work.
...About 2 years ago, I was completely obsessed with strategy-rpg game Disgaea 2. I was so into the game that hours and hours would pass without me even noticing. One time I was in the item world and I didn't have any way to get out and save and I still had a good 30 floors to go and there's no way I'd be able to finish it before I went to work... so I called into work. I spent the whole night playing Disgaea 2 and enjoying life.
In fact, I'll go so far as to say, even if I haven't done ANYTHING, not going to work has always been awesome. Even if I just stay home and sleep... it always rules.
